We believe that play, humor, and laughter are very valuable, but don’t seem to be valued. We feel that in school play is being taken out, but it needs to have great value in the classroom. There is more focus on academics and play is pushed out, but play leads to greater creativity and productivity. Play decreases inhibitions and you are more willng to take risks.

We don’t have time to play!! (TAKS prep,…curriculum constraints)
We are forcing our children to work through curriculum that they aren’t developmentally ready for. We need to adjust it to have some time for play.
